What's Your Excuse?

If running is something that you have thought about starting but you find yourself making excuses then RunWithMe can help.  Here are some common excuses people use to avoid exercising and reasons why we don’t think they stand.

“Better to find a way and not an excuse”

Okay so Ireland may not be renowned for sunshine splitting the stones but that hasn’t stopped a wave of people taking to the outdoors in search of fitness and a new exercise routine.  And they will all say that once outside and moving they don’t even notice that shower of rain.  Getting outside, out of your house/office or out of the gym, is a lot healthier too.
Running and exercise in general is a great habit to pick up and one that you can maintain yourself throughout your life.

This is simple.  You don’t have to be sporty to exercise.  Getting fit and feeling good about yourself doesn’t mean you have to run after, catch or throw a ball.  All you have to do is get moving.

Unfortunately for most this often turns into next month, next year and next never!  Everyone has experience of putting something on the long finger at some stage.

“ I’ll start studying for that exam next week”
 “I’ll quit smoking in January”

“ I’ll cut down on chocolate after my birthday”

“I’ll put the bin out in the morning”

Why wait for the bin to overflow, till the candles are blown out, till January, till you fail an exam?

Why not start today?

You don’t have to worry about getting left behind.   Most beginner runners are starting out at the same level so there is no fear of you getting left behind.  The course starts at a level suitable for everyone, as the course progresses you are guided from the most basic level of running to being able to run continuously for 30 minutes.   And there is always the option of taking a breather at designated spots during each class and joining back in when you are ready.

This is an excuse even the most avid of fitness enthusiasts can empathize with.  The difference is that those used to running and exercising know that once they get out there they will come back more refreshed, with a clearer head and rejuvenated.
