  • I have never run before but would like to start, is this course suitable for me?
    • You are the perfect candidate for the RunWithMe beginner running course.  The course is aimed at women who are complete beginners to running and those who have very little experience with running.  Everyone is starting off at the same level so don’t be worried that you will be left behind.
      The course is designed to help you learn how to run and to improve your health fitness and confidence along the way.
  • How much running will I do in each class?
    • The class is aimed at easing you into running gradually.  We start off with small amounts of running with long recovery between.  As the weeks progress the amount of running increases and the recovery decreases.  Everyone works at their own pace and since everyone is starting at the same level there is great encouragement and sense of achievement as improvements are made class to class and week by week.
  • What equipment/clothing do I need?
    • All you really need is a heart, a pair of lungs, a pair of legs…..oh, and a pair of runners.  Depending on the weather and time of year you should wear suitable clothing.  You should also have a bottle of water with you.  Running is one of the most inexpensive forms of exercise you can do and one of the most enjoyable.  The running bug can be pretty infectious!  
  • What age group does the course cater for?
    • RunWithMe is open to all age groups, 18 years and upwards.  However anyone over 50 is asked to get a medical check done with their doctor prior to starting the course.
  • What if I can’t make the first class of the Beginners Running Course?
    • We do accept late comers to the course but this will depend on your current fitness level.  Contact RunWithMe for more information about joining late.
  • When and where does the course take place? How much does the course cost?
  • Is there anywhere I can leave my valuables during the course?
    • There is nowhere to leave your bag or valuables so you should not bring any with you to the course.  Also make sure you have a zipped pocket to put your key into during the class.
  • What about my diet as part of my new exercise routine?
    • Your diet of course is always important and you will be given many key tips on nutrition and recovery.  You will find that as you introduce running into your routine and get fitter you will automatically be more focused on your diet and it will be easier to make those healthier choices. 
  • How does RunWithMe differ from the gym?
    • Many of my friends in the past have joined the gym in the belief that they will get fit and lose weight.  Three months later they are still the same weight and no fitter.  RunWithMe is different, you are part of a close knit, supportive team.  We give you the support, confidence and motivation to get fit through running  and keep track of your progress every week.
      Being out in the open air as oppose to a gym also has its benefits, especially for those that are stuck inside an office for most of the day.
